Donna began her career as an early childhood teacher. She then trained as a Teacher of the Deaf, gained her master’s degree in education of the hearing impaired and then became a Certified Auditory-Verbal Therapist®.
During her career of forty years, she has worked in a variety of roles and settings with individuals with hearing loss of all ages. Donna has worked in cochlear implant programmes in New Zealand, Australia, and the United Kingdom, including at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London and The Shepherd Centre in Australia. She has presented numerous lectures and workshops worldwide and has provided mentoring and consultancy to professionals.
Currently she works as Senior Rehabilitation Manager for MED-EL. In this capacity she has worked in many countries and in many different capacities. She has written, and overseen the development of, several resources for adult cochlear implant recipients.
Donna's current focus is the Southeast Asia region, where she has worked to provide professional development for rehabilitationists for over 12 years.
