Onn Wah Lee Malaysia

Dr. Lee, also known as Steven, completed his PhD at the University of Melbourne (2024). With a strong foundation in audiology (BSc – Malaysia; MSc – UK), he currently serves as a lecturer at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and is an active member of the UKM Cochlear Implant Team. His research focuses on speech perception, auditory neuroscience, and cochlear implants. Dr. Lee leads three primary research initiatives: (1) investigating the development of speech discrimination in children with diverse language backgrounds, (2) the diagnostic process of patients who experience difficulty hearing in noise despite normal results on conventional hearing assessments, and (3) cochlear implants in children with special needs.
