Associate Professor Che-Ming Wu is a Clinical Associate Professor at Chang Gung University and formerly served as Head of Otology in the Department of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital. He is also a Director of the Taiwan Otolaryngological Society and a coordinator of The Speech-Language-Hearing Association in Taiwan. As a recognized surgical expert, he serves as a consultant for Cochlear Asia Pacific in the Greater China and Taiwan region.
With over two decades of experience in otology, Professor Wu has performed more than 8,000 middle and inner ear surgeries and over 850 cochlear implant procedures in Taiwan. From 1999 to 2025, his research has been dedicated to cochlear implantation, with a current focus on long-term auditory and speech outcomes in implanted patients. Between 2008 and 2025, he published 58 papers in SCI-indexed journals, including 43 specifically addressing cochlear implants.
Since 2010, Professor Wu has been an invited speaker and session moderator at numerous academic events organized by the Taiwan Otolaryngological Society. In the past five years alone, he has represented Taiwan and Chang Gung Memorial Hospital at more than 32 national and international conferences, sharing his clinical expertise in cochlear implantation.
