Kuang Chao CHEN Taiwan

Dr. Chen was born in Taipei in 1958, graduated from National Yang-Ming University, and completed his fellowship at the Department of Otolaryngology in Taipei Veterans General Hospital, Taipei, Taiwan. From 1996 to 2014, Dr. Chen served as the chairman of the Department of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at Cheng Hsin General Hospital in Taipei. He then became the chief of the Department of Cochlear Implantation at Far Eastern Memorial Hospital in New Taipei City, Taiwan, from 2014 to 2020. Currently, since May 2020, Dr. Chen has been serving as a deputy superintendent at the Holistic Hearing Healthcare Center, China Medical University Hospital, in TaiChung, Taiwan. As a head and neck oncological surgeon for 13 years, Dr. Chen started performing cochlear implant operations in 2004. He is particularly interested in music perception in cochlear implant recipients and the electrophysiology and preservation of residual hearing during cochlear implant operations.
