Dr. Chin-Kuo Chen is the Vice-Chairman of the Department of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Linkou, Taiwan. He earned his medical degree from Chung Shan Medical University, completed a Ph.D. in medical science at Taipei Medical University, and holds an Executive MBA from the College of Management at National Taiwan University.
Dr. Chen is a recognized leader in otology and a pioneer in promoting endoscopic ear surgery in both Taiwan and China. His multidisciplinary research integrates clinical medicine with basic sciences, particularly focusing on the innovative use of ultrasound imaging, audiology, and finite element modeling to improve diagnostic precision and treatment outcomes.
A recipient of numerous competitive research grants, Dr. Chen holds several patents and has made substantial contributions to peer-reviewed medical literature. In addition to his clinical and research endeavors, he serves as the President of the Taiwan Section of the International College of Surgeons, where he actively promotes international collaboration and surgical innovation.
Dr. Chen is also a committed academic, contributing as an author, reviewer, and editorial board member for various scientific journals. With a strong foundation in clinical excellence, research innovation, and strategic leadership, Dr. Chen continues to shape the future of otological care both regionally and globally.
