Nor Haniza Abdul Wahat Malaysia

Dr. Nor Haniza Abdul Wahat is an Associate Professor and a distinguished audiologist specializing in vestibular diagnostics and management across paediatric and adult populations. She earned her Master of Science in Audiology from the University of Southampton, UK, in 2003 and her Ph.D. in Vestibular Diagnosis from The University of Western Australia in 2011. She further refined her expertise through a fellowship in Vestibular Clinical Diagnostics at the University of Sydney and a paediatric vestibular research attachment in France. A leading advocate for vestibular audiology in Malaysia, Dr. Haniza was instrumental in establishing the Vestibular and Balance Lab at the Faculty of Health Sciences, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in 2011. Her research focuses on vestibular and balance disorders in both children and adults, with a strong commitment to improving outcomes for the deaf community. As a faculty member at UKM, she is dedicated to education, actively teaching and mentoring undergraduate and postgraduate students, with a particular emphasis on vestibular audiology. In addition to her academic and research roles, Dr. Haniza serves as the Assistant Dean for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, a portfolio that aligns with her passion for advancing audiology practices through innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration. Currently serving as the President (2023–2025) of the Malaysian National Society of Audiologists (MANSA), Dr. Haniza is committed to advancing the field of audiology in Malaysia, fostering professional development, and improving patient care through innovation and collaboration.
